Building Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementation – Stage 1

Description of the project

The group GEOTECHMIN has a core business in engineering and consulting services in mining, infrastructure and civil engineering, environmental, real estate and investment industry. The largest company in the group GEOTECHMIN and a leader in the Bulgarian mining industry is Elatsite Med AD. In 2011 the company started the implementation of a BI system. BTS LTD. was selected for the project which includes building Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence solutions. The first stage of the project was successfully completed. The achieved results are: reducing costs by increasing operational efficiency, eliminating the accumulation of unexecuted reports and / or delayering problems in production by taking appropriate action.

Description of the project

Main activities:

Implementation of a set of reports for monitoring the supply of materials, sales of finished goods, expenditure on fixed assets, costs of ecology and cost of machines in Elatsite-Med AD (this company is part of Geotechmin group)
Design and building of additional metadata models (Universes);
Building of necessary additional data structures in the existing data warehouse
